Mera Sannyasi
Pujya Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri Ji Maharaj writes, in his own words, the story of Shri Sannyasi Baba, his Dada Guru & the Parampara bounding them.
Read about the events that led a village boy to the seat of Bageshwar Dham.
Part biography, part autobiography, and entirely an offering of devotion in the original Hindi, and English.
Some just write books. Guruji lives this one.
The Story Behind the Book
Penned by Guruji himself, about the one he calls his own, Mera Sannyasi. My Sannyasi.
It moves between biography, autobiography and chapter after chapter of Prasangs: accounts of Shri Sannyasi Baba’s grace.
“जिसका गुरु बलवान, वो चेला पहलवान।”
“When the Guru is mighty, the disciple stands unshaken.”
Long before the world knew Bageshwar Dham, there was a village, a temple, and a Sannyasi.
At the Dham, devotees hear a name spoken with reverence, Shri Sannyasi Baba. The holy saint whose Tapasya made the village Gadha, a Taposthal.
But few know the story that Guruji carries, about Shri Sannyasi Baba, Dada Guru, and the events that shaped a lineage.
Of his twenty-nine years, Guruji writes, nineteen have been spent in communion with Shri Sannyasi Baba. A relationship reaching beyond Guru's bond with his disciple.

|---|---|
“Miracles of Shri Sannyasi Baba” 13 accounts of grace as devotees have lived and retold them. | Guruji’s introduction as the author, and what lies ahead of Shri Bageshwar Dham. |

- The Life Sketch of Shri Sannyasi Baba
- Shri Dada-Guruji’s First Meeting
- Shri Sannyasi Baba’s Leela
- A Divine Revelation in London
- The Little Girl who Returned
Among the accounts is one from a katha somewhere in a town. A little girl slips away from her mother in the crowd. The mother searches, but cannot find her, until, desperate, she reaches the stage itself and collapses, crying out for her daughter.
What happened next is a story devotees still tell. An old man, appearing through the crowd, a child safe in his arms… Who was he? Guruji tells the rest in Mera Sannyasi.
For three kinds of readers.
- For the Pagal
Gurudev ke pagal, those who love Guruji beyond reason, for whom every page will feel like sitting a little closer to him. - For the Bhakt
Those who visit the Dham, watch the Darbar, and have always wanted to know the story beneath it all, from the one who lived it. - For the Jigyasu
The seeker and the simply curious, anyone who has wondered how Bageshwar Dham came to be what it is today.
Questions that stay.
Guruji leaves everyone with a few questions, How does the strength within a person awaken? How does one come to know that consciousness? How does one reach it?
“The answers to these very questions lie within Mera Sannyasi… The day every Bharatiya awakens the Guru within, Bharat shall truly be established in her rightful seat as the Vishwaguru. This is not merely a book, but a spiritual bridge.”

The Hands This Book Passed Through.
Pandit Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri
Shri Bageshwar Dham Sarkar is known to devotees across the world.
He is the Pithadhishwar of Shri Bageshwar Dham in Gadha, Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh.
A lifelong devotee of Hanuman ji and of Shri Bageshwar Balaji Maharaj, he has dedicated his life to katha, seva, and the strengthening of Sanatan Dharma.
At just twelve years old, he attained spiritual siddhis through the grace of Shri Bageshwar Hanuman ji and Shri Sanyasi Baba, the blessings of Shri Dada-Guruji, and the depth of his own penance.
From those early years, his path has been defined by a singular purpose: anchoring people in their love for Ishwar through the narration of sacred Kathas, from the glories of Shri Ram and Shri Hanuman to the timeless wisdom of Shrimad Bhagavatam.
His storytelling crosses generations, drawing millions of children, youth, and elders into moments of quiet, divine bliss.
Beyond the Vyaspeeth, his days are an unyielding commitment to the Rashtra and to social welfare. Every effort is channeled toward a single focus: uplifting the helpless and resolving the physical, mental, and spiritual suffering of those who seek his counsel.
Of his twenty-nine years, he writes, nineteen have been spent in communion with Shri Sannyasi Baba. Mera Sannyasi is his account of the lineage he belongs to and of the Sannyasi at its heart.
"I am just an Instrument"
— Guruji, Mera Sannyasi's back cover
The English Edition, Offered as Seva.
Translating Guruji’s voice is not a task anyone takes lightly.
The English edition was rendered by Dr. Rajani Pradhan ‘Shivapriya’, , PhD MA (Yogashastra), MA (Sanskrit), Paninian Sanskrit & Vedanta Scholar, and the Dhrupad tradition, and founder of Nadalaya Yoga, Mumbai.
Mai to seva kar rahi hun. Devoted to Guruji, she undertook the work purely as seva.
Bhavarth over Shabdarth, the essence over the literal word, was her discipline while translating.
Nothing added, nothing removed, no creative liberties. Only Guruji’s Brahmvakya, carried carefully across languages.
Moreover, who indeed has the ability to say in any language, that which Param Pujya Shri Gurudev Bhagwan has said? For there is none like him. Yet, when the Divine wills a task to be accomplished, Shri Hanuman ji, Shri Sannyasi Baba and Param Pujya Shri Gurudev Bhagwan in their infinite grace, choose an instrument and bring it to fruition. This translation too is solely the fruit of that grace and Blessings.
