You Come to Give. You Leave Having Received More.
Ask anyone who has served at the Dham, and they will tell you the same thing: they came to help, and somewhere along the way, they were the ones who were changed.
There is a particular kind of peace that only service brings. It arrives when your effort becomes someone else’s comfort — when the meal you served eases a stranger’s hunger, when the direction you gave calmed a lost pilgrim, when your presence made a gathering of thousands feel a little more like a family.
Seva is devotion made visible. It is the teaching of Guruji lived out with your own hands. You do not need experience. You only need the willingness to show up.
Serve at the feet of Balaji Maharaj and feel your devotion take living form.
Be part of something that touches thousands of lives every single day.
Stand shoulder to shoulder with fellow Sevaks who become lifelong family.
Walk the path of Seva as taught by Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri Ji Maharaj.
Every Kind of Seva Needs a Hand Like Yours.
There is no small Seva and no large Seva — every role matters equally. Choose the one that calls to you, or tell us where you’d like to help and we’ll find your place.
Help prepare and serve thousands of warm meals daily — the most visible face of Seva at the Dham.
Assist with crowd guidance, token distribution, and devotee support during Divya Darbar gatherings.
Lend your hands during Hanuman Jayanti, Ram Navami, Navratri, and other major celebrations.
Keep the sacred spaces of the Dham clean, orderly, and welcoming for every pilgrim.
Offer professional or general assistance at medical camps and devotee help desks.
Welcome arriving pilgrims, guide the elderly and differently-abled, and answer visitor questions.
Contribute documentation, technology, coordination, translation or media to the Dham's wider mission.
Support mass marriages, education drives, and welfare initiatives beyond the temple walls.
They Came to Serve. Here’s What They Found.
I started serving meals on weekends. I don’t have words for the peace I feel now. This is my second home.
Guiding devotees during Darbar, I understood what Guruji means by service. I give a few days a month and receive so much more.
I thought I was too old to be useful. The Dham showed me that every hand matters. I’ve never felt more needed.

Questions Before You Begin?
Who can volunteer at Bageshwar Dham?
Anyone with a sincere wish to serve is welcome. There are no restrictions based on background, profession, or experience. Volunteers must generally be 18 or older; families and younger devotees can enquire with the Seva team about suitable opportunities.
Is there any cost to volunteer?
No. Seva at Bageshwar Dham is offered freely in the spirit of devotion. There is no fee to register or to serve.
Do I need prior experience?
Not at all. Most Sevaks arrive with no experience. You will receive a brief orientation, and fellow Sevaks will guide you. Willingness matters more than skill.
How much time do I need to commit?
As much or as little as you can offer. Some Sevaks help for a single festival or Divya Darbar; others serve regularly through the year. You choose your availability when you register.
Can I volunteer if I live in another city or state?
Yes. Many Sevaks travel to serve during festivals and Divya Darbar. Certain skilled roles (coordination, media, translation) can also be offered remotely. Mention your location and availability in the form.
What kind of Seva can I do?
Options include Annapurna Rasoi (meal service), Divya Darbar assistance, festival support, campus cleanliness, medical and guest support, skilled/professional contributions, and community outreach. You can choose one or more, or opt for “wherever I’m needed most.”
Will I be provided food or accommodation while serving?
Prasad and meals are available through the Dham. For accommodation during longer or festival-period Seva, please raise it with the Seva coordination team when they contact you.
How is volunteering different from donating?
Both are acts of contribution. Volunteering offers your time and presence; donating offers financial support. Many devotees choose to do both. You can learn about giving on our Donate page.
The Dham Is Calling. Will You Answer?
Somewhere in the crowd at the next Divya Darbar, a tired pilgrim will be handed a warm meal. An elderly devotee will be gently guided to a seat. It could be your hands that make that moment possible. You don’t need to be anyone special — you only need to say yes.
