Shri Sanyasi Baba

The tradition is believed to have begun with Shri Sanyasi Baba who established the original Balaji temple here. Over the years, many saints and holy men came to this sacred land, carrying its tradition of faith and devotion forward from one generation to the next.

Shri Dada Guruji

Among them was Shri Dada Guruji, who was associated with the Nirmohi Akhara and played an important role in guiding Gurudev towards a life of devotion and service.

Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri Ji

Today, Gurudev Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri Ji Maharaj, the Peethadhishwar of Shri Bageshwar Dham carries this tradition forward. What started as a place of worship has grown into a place where people come together through faith, devotion and seva.

The land may have changed with time. But the faith continues.

An Arzi is simply a prayer or request that a devotee places before Shri Balaji Maharaj. Devotees believe that Balaji Maharaj listens to their prayers and that guidance is given through the Peethadhishwar of the Dham, Pujya Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri Ji Maharaj, whom many devotees lovingly known as Shri Bageshwar Dham Sarkar.
